
KALSEY KULYK
Kalsey Kulyk is a Canadian country singer and songwriter known for her distinctive vocals and heartfelt storytelling. Born on July 23, 1990, in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, she was raised in a family involved in milling and farming. From a young age, Kulyk demonstrated a passion for music, participating in talent competitions and drawing inspiration from artists like Shania Twain. At 13, her mother introduced her to the guitar, sparking her journey into songwriting.
At 19, Kulyk relocated to Las Vegas to collaborate with producer Richard Dashut. She released her debut single, "With You," in 2014 under Calgary-based Phaymis Records. In 2017, she won the Canadian Country Music Association's Discovery Award, leading to a move to Nashville and the release of her self-titled EP in 2019. The EP featured tracks like "More Time" and "Bad Liar." Her 2020 single "Who I Was" marked her first appearance on the Billboard Canada Country chart.
In July 2022, Kulyk independently released "Big Deal," followed by "Ain't Enough Whiskey" in February 2023. That spring, she competed on the third season of Canada's Got Talent. In June 2023, "Love Me Like an Outlaw" became her first Top 20 hit on the Canadian country charts. The track amassed over 2 million streams on Spotify and 200,000 YouTube views by 2024.
Kulyk's debut album, "Outlaw Poetry," was released on February 23, 2024. The album offers a traditional country sound, aiming to resonate with listeners through its old-school western narratives.
In February 2025, she signed with Universal Music Canada and released "You Fight Dirty," introducing a blend of classic country vocals with vivid storytelling.
Beyond her music career, Kulyk's personal life includes her marriage to fellow country artist Eric Ethridge in December 2019. The couple embraced the pandemic by performing rooftop concerts across Canada during their "Love on the Road" tour. They have a son, Wilder, born in August 2021, and currently reside in Beaumont, Alberta.
